About

The Prep Hockey Conference was established in 2021 by Six traditionally prominent men’s prep hockey playing institutions. Culver Academies (Indiana); Mount St. Charles Academy (Rhode Island); Northwood School (New York);  Shattuck St. Mary’s School (Minnesota); South Kent School (Connecticut); St. Andrew’s College (Ontario) are the founding members and continue as the playing members today.

The group is composed of institutions rich in history and tradition with a strong commitment to academic and athletic excellence. They are like-minded in their goals and aspirations for the PHC, with a focus on improving the overall student-athlete experience while building rivalries through healthy competition.

The PHC is also committed to providing the best possible hockey experience for its student-athletes, fans, and all other stakeholders. The group plans to establish itself as the premiere prep hockey group in North America, and has the highest standards for overall competitiveness, along with a level of institutional investment that demonstrates significant commitment to their hockey programs and facilities. 

The goal is to establish relationships within and beyond the hockey world that create a high degree of visibility and positive media exposure for the PHC and its individual programs.

The Conference supports a culture of professionalism and integrity, reflecting its commitment to grow the sport of ice hockey while creating a positive experience for the student-athletes and school communities.
